Effective Movie
This section of the movie demonstrates how the teacher is able
to get the best out of one of his students who did not complete the homework assignment. The student did not complete the homework assignment because he didn't believe in his self enough to do his best unique poem. The teacher was able to have the student recite an original poem on the spot in front
of class.
In this movie clip, the teacher challenges a student to explain his mathematic answer to the problem. The entire class was puzzled as this student went back and forth with the teacher on his reasoning for finding the answer to the math problem. The teacher addressed the student because his actions stood out from the rest of the class. The teacher also welcomed the student's answer as it was a more clever explanation.
Ineffective Movie
The professor in this scene did not show any compassion for the student who was not fully prepared for his French presentation. The student was having difficulty speaking in front of the class which caused him to struggle even more. The fact that the student wasn't fully prepared didn't help the situation either. The professor was impatient and made fun of him while he tried his best
to carry on.
This professor not only caused a student to doubt his correct answer but she threatened his life. Then she popped another student who probably wasn't paying attention on the top of his head with her pencil. Lastly, the professor asked the opinion of another student about the actions of a non prepared student instead of making the decision herself. The professor wanted the whole class to know what was going on instead of keeping the situation private until the end of class.
